Setting up
Adding or removing a child
Open the Tasks tab, choose Kids, type a first name, set the age, pick an emoji and tap Add. Tap Remove next to a child to take them off the team. Tap a child’s emoji to change it later.
One team bank or separate banks
In Tasks › Kids, choose “Team bank” to pool every child’s minutes or “Separate banks” to give each child their own balance. Switching to separate banks splits the pool evenly; switching back adds the balances together. On the home screen, separate banks show a chip per child so you can switch between them.
Changing how many minutes a task earns
Every task has a duration and a reward, both in minutes. Change them in Tasks › Tasks, or tap a task in “Start a task” and adjust it right there before starting. While the two numbers are equal they move together; once you change the reward on its own, it stays independent.
Adding your own tasks and activities
Type a name in the field at the bottom of Tasks › Tasks or Tasks › Entertainment and tap Add. From “Start a task” you can also use “New task” to pick an icon and colour and start it immediately.
Kid mode
Handing over the phone
Tap Kid mode in the tab bar. The screen shows the family’s minutes and a card per task. Your child picks a mission and taps the play button, the countdown runs, and the screen stays awake until the task ends. If there is more than one child on the team, tap the child’s name first so the minutes are logged to the right person.
Getting back to the parent screens
Press and hold the “Parents: hold” button for about a second. A quick tap does nothing, which is the point. Holding it while a task is running abandons that task without crediting minutes.
When the child taps “I’m done”
The phone shows a “You did it!” screen and asks for a grown‑up. Press and hold to reach the parent check, then choose Super good, Done well, Partly done or Not done. Only then do minutes reach the bank.
Your data
Where is my data?
On your iPhone, and nowhere else. See the privacy policy for the full list of what the app keeps.
Moving to a new phone
Restore the new phone from an iCloud or computer backup of the old one, and Minutio comes across with its history. There is no separate export yet; it is on the list.
Starting over
Delete the app and install it again. Everything, including history, is removed. There is no way to recover it afterwards, so make sure that is what you want.
The timer kept counting while the phone was locked
That is by design. Timers follow the clock, so a 20‑minute task is 20 real minutes whether or not the screen is on. Pause the timer if the task is interrupted.
