Most questions are answered below. If yours isn’t, write to us from Settings › Send us your feedback in the app, or email feedback@minutio.app. You will hear back from the person who built the app, usually within two working days.
Setting up
Adding or removing a child
Open Settings › Family and tap “+ Add child”: type a first name or nickname, then pick an avatar and a colour. Tap a child to change them or to remove them; removing a child also removes their history.
One balance per child or a team bank
In Settings › Family, under Gem bank, choose “Separately” to give each child their own gems, or “In one team bank” so everyone earns into one pool and any child can claim from it. You can switch at any time.
Adding tasks
In the Tasks tab, tap the + button. Name the task or tap “Use preset” to start from a task idea, set how many gems it is worth and how often it repeats (once, every day, on certain weekdays or every few days), and optionally add a reminder.
Ticking off a task
Tap the check next to a task when it is done, and the gems go straight to the child’s balance. If “Ask how it went” is on in Settings, you choose how it went: a great job pays extra gems, a so‑so one half, and a poor one nothing. Turn it off for a plain check.
Rewards
In the Rewards tab, tap the + button to add a reward from the catalog or your own, each with a gem price. When a child has enough gems, claim the reward together and the gems come off their balance.
Kids mode
Handing over the phone
Tap “Kids mode” at the top of the Tasks tab. Your child sees their gems, today’s tasks and the rewards they are saving for. Kids mode is for looking: nothing can be ticked off, claimed or changed from it.
Getting back to the parent screens
Press and hold “Hold to go back to the grown‑ups” for about a second. A quick tap does nothing, which is the point.
Two parents, one chart
Inviting the other adult
Open Settings › Family › Invite another adult and share the 6‑digit code or the link. On their phone, they install Minutio and tap “Have a family code?” on the first screen, or simply open the link. Both phones then show the same children, tasks, rewards and balances, synced through iCloud, so both adults need to be signed in to iCloud.
Does the other adult need to subscribe?
No. While the adult who created the family has an active subscription, the other adult uses the same family without subscribing.
Removing an adult or leaving a family
The adult who created the family can remove the other one in Settings › Family. The other adult can choose “Leave family” there; their phone then starts over, and the children, tasks and history stay with the family’s owner.
Subscription
Plans and free trial
Minutio requires a Minutio Premium subscription, weekly or yearly. The yearly plan includes a 3‑day free trial for Apple Accounts that have not had one before. The price in your currency is shown in the app before you subscribe, and the full conditions are in the terms of use.
Cancelling
Open iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions, or Settings › Manage subscription in the app, and cancel at least 24 hours before the current period or the trial ends. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for.
New phone or reinstall
Sign in with the same Apple Account and tap Restore at the bottom of the subscription screen.
Refunds
Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your data
Where is my data?
On your phone and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your own iCloud, where we cannot read it. See the privacy policy for exactly what the app keeps and the few things that leave the phone.
Moving to a new phone
Install Minutio on the new phone, signed in to the same iCloud account. The app finds your family in iCloud and brings it back, history included.
Starting over
Delete the app, then remove Minutio’s data from iCloud in iOS Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage, if it is listed there. Everything, including history, is removed and cannot be recovered afterwards, so make sure that is what you want.
Something’s wrong
Use Settings › Send us your feedback in the app, or email feedback@minutio.app with what you expected, what happened instead, and your device and iOS version. Screenshots help. Feature ideas are welcome the same way.
Minutio requires iOS 17 or later and runs on iPhone and iPad.
