Terms of use

Effective 13 September 2026.

The short version. Minutio is a tool to help families agree on chores and screen time. Use it as a parent or guardian, keep the deal fair, and remember that the app counts minutes but you make the decisions. We provide it as it is, and we are not liable for what happens around the dinner table.

1. Who these terms are for

These terms are an agreement between you and Josep Salvat, Barcelona, Spain (“we”, “us”), and they apply to the Minutio app for iPhone (“the app”) and this website. By downloading or using the app you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The app is intended to be installed and operated by an adult parent or guardian. Children may use kid mode under that adult’s supervision and on that adult’s device.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable licence to install and use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the App Store terms. The app and everything in it, including its name, logo, design and code, remain ours. You may not copy, modify, sell, rent, reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where the law expressly allows it.

3. What the app does and does not do

Minutio keeps a tally of minutes earned and spent according to rules you set, and it runs timers. It does not lock devices, block apps, monitor children or enforce anything. Whether a task was done, whether a reward is fair, and whether a screen turns on are decisions made by you.

Timers rely on the device’s clock and on iOS keeping the app or its state available. Do not use the app where an exact measurement of time matters for safety, health or money.

4. Your responsibilities

5. Your data

The app stores its data on your device only. How that works is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. You are responsible for keeping backups of your device if you want to preserve your history.

6. Price and future features

The app is currently free. If we add paid features in the future, they will be offered through Apple’s in‑app purchase system under Apple’s terms, and the price will be shown before you buy. We may change, add or remove features of the app over time.

7. Availability and changes

We may release updates, and some updates may require a newer version of iOS. We may stop distributing the app or discontinue it altogether; if we do, the version already on your device will keep working as long as iOS allows, and your data stays on your device.

8. No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error‑free operation. This does not affect any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including lost data, and our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free app is zero. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

10. Apple

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third‑party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. If you are a consumer in the European Union you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change is material, we will point it out in the app or on this site before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that date means you accept the updated terms.
